2023 Rewind: TACCEI’s Year of Making a Difference!
Dear Friend and Supporter
As we embrace the new year, TACCEI looks back on the achievements, partnerships, and community initiatives that defined our journey in 2023. Read on to discover the stories that shaped our year and what’s in store for 2024!
Empowering Maasai Women: A Leap Towards Sustainable Change!
A highlight of 2023 was the launch of the Maasai Women Empowerment and Climate Change Adaptation Project (MWECCAP). Supported by the FEMI Foundation, this project aimed to strengthen the socio-economic empowerment of over 2,000 Maasai women in the Simanjiro District.
By integrating climate-smart agriculture and environmental education, TACCEI has taken a significant step towards sustainable community development and women’s empowerment.
Training for Transformation: Building Skills and Changing Lives!
Central to our mission was focusing on practical training for the Maasai women in Loswaki. Collaborating with our partner, ECHO East Africa, the project ensured that participants received comprehensive training in gardening practices, equipping them with the skills necessary for food security and sustainable income generation.
Establishing demonstration plots and distributing seeds and gardening equipment further solidified our commitment to hands-on learning and empowerment.
Planting Seeds of Hope: Environmental Education Takes Root!
By partnering with Wilde Ganzen Foundation and Global Exploration, TACCEI embarked on a remarkable initiative to cultivate environmental consciousness in the hearts of young people.
Our tree-planting and conservation education project impacted twenty schools, fostering a new generation of eco-conscious minds. This initiative symbolizes our commitment to a greener future and the crucial role of education in conservation.
Looking Ahead: Scaling New Heights With the Kilimanjaro Marathon!
Our gaze is set on the 2024 Kilimanjaro Marathon, to be held on February 25. This challenging yet exhilarating event is not just a race but a symbol of our relentless pursuit of conservation and community empowerment in rural Tanzania.
We invite our supporters to cheer us on and contribute. Your donations will help us reach new milestones, including purchasing a projector to provide environmental education for over 10,000 students and the community and investing in a speaker, microphone, and laptop to further support our educational efforts.
