With unmatched natural resources and wildlife, Tanzania is situated at the intersection of numerous vast biomes across Africa, featuring the highest and lowest points of the continent, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, and the bottom of Lake Tanganyika. It is one of the most biodiverse and natural resource-rich nations in Africa, ranging from coral reefs to montane forests.
TACCEI works to protect Tanzania’s vast biodiversity through community-centered initiatives. Our program focuses on mitigating human-wildlife conflicts (HWC), developing ecological research, restoring habitat, and providing conservation education to the community.
