Community Empowerment
At TACCEI, we recognize that recognizes that the participation of local communities is essential for the success of conservation initiatives and through our collaborative approach, we work with local communities to increase their capacity to develop sustainable livelihood options that reduce poverty and conserve biodiversity.

Women and Girls Empowerment
In Tanzania, limited opportunities for economic development allow gender inequalities to persist. Due to the population growth, unemployment remains high and economic opportunities in rural areas are still limited especially for women. Studies show that in Tanzania, when poor families struggle for economy girls are more likely than boys to be taken out of school to help with income-generating activities or agricultural labor, and they are more likely to be married at a young age. We support women through their community microfinance groups (CMG) by ensuring access to loans and important training.
Sustainable Agricultural Practices
We support rural communities through business and technical skills training including “farming as business”, SACCOS formation and management including linkage to credit sources for crop financing as well as value chain development through multi stakeholder coordination, linkage to Business Development services (BDS) and market and microfinance linkages.
